How we work, how fees are set, and what we need from you.

What is Startbase?
A software studio working from London and Istanbul. We do three things: assign a team to your product, make clear which processes AI can serve, and train the team on their own work. The legal entity is STARTBASE LTD, UK company number 15278821.
Who do you work with?
Mid-sized and growing companies in the United Kingdom, Europe and Türkiye. Typically organisations that need a product built, or that need AI introduced into an existing process. We are not a staff-augmentation marketplace.
How are fees and timelines determined?
Fees and duration follow the plan we agree together. If a one-month programme is enough, we propose a one-month programme. You can leave at any time.
How do you handle data?
We treat data privacy as the first item on every engagement. We do not share client data with third parties without permission, and we do not use client data to train our own AI models. Processing is carried out in line with UK GDPR and, where it applies, KVKK. At the start of a project we record in writing where the data will be hosted (the cloud provider and region are yours to choose), who may access it, and how it will be securely destroyed at the end.
Are we locked into a long-term contract?
No. A team is assigned to your product. You review a working version at the end of each sprint. There is no long-term contractual lock-in. The code and the product remain yours.
When are you not the right partner?
Because of our minimum scope we do not take one-off repair jobs or work on inherited legacy systems.
How soon can you start?
After the first meeting we set the programme and the team together and begin.
Which languages and time zone do you work in?
English and Turkish. The registered office is in London. The studio is in Istanbul. Weekdays 09:00 to 18:00 (United Kingdom and Türkiye).
